Reading the posts I got a similar impression. Important to note is
that the investments in question occured in the fiscal year 2000/2001
Thats prior too the meltdown. Those familiar with Mandrake will also
note that this situation was rectified late in 2001/2002 not
withstanding the finanical implications. It is also not clear at
least to this typist what the nature and extend of bankruptcy fileing
in the EU is all about. My guess its not similar too the same rules
as in CA or US.
From a positive perspective, perhaps its a move to release the Corp
from dept similar to what some are attempting to do with the
Senators. Perhaps not. I really dont know. On the other hand, its all
gpl software, for the most part (minus 3rd party additions) so its
all available to all anyway. Perhaps its time for Mandrake
enthusiasts to step up to the plate and contribute and support their
distro of choice.
