I forgot to mention that we also use them in transactions without a
problem.

I've used SQL server for a looooooong time, and we haven't missed it at
all during our current project.

Yes, I re-read those posts earlier--interesting reading.  This
application is very small scale in comparison, so performance won't sway
the decision much.
