[oclug] OT: Linksys

I'm not thrilled with the router - it's done some odd things in the couple
of days it's been up so far.  Last time I looked at it it was showing no
link lamps on a port that was in use and working fine....  It did hang
entirely once, but there had been a lot upheaval on the network during that
time.
Are you having trouble with yours often?  I considered updating the firmware
(I'm assuming there is even an update available) but it isn't mine.

<alainm> I have problems almost on a weekly basis.. it seems to puke when
allot of traffic is going thru the WAN port.. I.E VNC doing something and
SSH doing something.. I am running the latest firmware that is available on
the linksys site.. this is the second unit i use and with still the same
result

Now Brian you were saying that you have a similar setup as mine.. and you
have a fairely tight firewall.. to your knowledge has it ever been hit by
anything that has leaked thru the linksys box?
