Hi,
This may or may not be a newbie question - but here it
is - I've recently installed Redhat 7.3 on my machines
at home, and it seems that it can recognize my
hardware with no problems. (I have a 3c509 3COM
network card).
Unfortunately, when I tried to set up a hostname and
an IP address using the GUI (as opposed to doing it
manually, because I thought I could avoid reading the
complex scripts), the Ethernet card seems to no longer
get recognized. I didn't set the IRQ up in the GUI -
since it was recognized before and was up and running
without my having to set it. I was wondering if anyone
knows why it stopped "seeing" the Ethernet card, even
during the startup scripts.
Thanks,
Raju.
