Hi everyone,

Last night's "Introduction to linux Networking" at ExitCertified
happened infront of a packed audience. Many thanks to Jean-Serge
Gagnon for taking the time to put the class together!

The next tutorial we're hoping to do is a "Linux Firewall" tutorial.
But we need a volunteer, or group of volunteers, to put it together! If
you're a guru with iptables, ipchains, IP masquerading, etc., and are
interested in leading a 90-120 minute tutorial, please let me know. The
tentative date for this class is the last Thursday of November.

I'm not sure if we will hold a tutorial in December, but hopefully in
January we'll have an opportunity to do a complete FreeS/WAN tutorial.

As always, volunteers to lead any of these tutorials, or classes on any
other topic, are always in demand. Email me if you're interested in
helping out.

Some of the other tutorials that OCLUG members have suggested are:
  - The Linux command shell, part II
  - Beginner shell scripting, advanced shell scripting
  - System administration
  - Setting up a cluster (beowulf, numa, etc)
  - expect
  - make
  - cvs
  - autoconf
  - X Windows, xdm
  - KDE
  - GNOME
  - Compare and contrast the different distros
  - Kernel modules
  - Distributing software as RPMs and/or Debian packages.
  - Various programming tutorials

Cheers,
Vic
