[oclug] Easy mailing list solution

I'm thinking about setting up a sort of "mini mailing list." Being new
to Linux, I wasn't sure where to start looking.
What I'd like to be able to do is:
Have a program check my normal e-mail and if it finds an e-mail with a
certain subject or sender, then it would forward that e-mail to a small
group of e-mail addresses (probably under 10 for now). I'd like to be
able to do this even when I'm not logged into the box.
Originally I thought I could just use my normal e-mail client
(evolution) to do this, but it doesn't seem to check my mail when I'm
not logged in.
I'm using redhat 7.3 with the ximian desktop.
Any suggestions of where to start would be appreciated.
