[oclug]gentoo troubles

How big is the Gentoo image anyway? I'm looking for something small to
put onto a machine for a firewall. The machine itself has got less than
a gig of disk space, so I really only need the essentials.

I've not seen Gentoo before now, but I'm interested in taking a peek.
