Omg... I used to use yes to generate constant streams of text for
testing old terminals and TTX equipment or troubleshooting RS-232 cables
with breakout boxes. Was a good way to ensure a serial buffer was
filled, or to see if a VT-100 or TTY-35 or whatnot would send an x-off
or drop CTS. I had completely forgot that it existed since then!
Just about the only use for yes I've ever found myself.
