[oclug]Digital camera advice needed

I recently purchased for myself Canon PowerShot A40. It has 2 mb sensor, and stores the images on the compactflash type I cards which are pretty cheap nowadays. It has LCD, but it can be turned off. The image quality is very good, and the range of available configuration variables allows you to change almost all of the parameters (ISO sensitivity, shutter speed, flash modes), in addition it can record 30 sec movies :o)

and yes it uses 4 AA batteries.
