[oclug]2.4.19 nvidia woes

Hi all,

I've recently upgraded my kernel to 2.4.19 and installed the
nvidia-kernel-src and nvidia-glx-src packages. Unfortunately, when I start X,
I get an extremely vague error message saying (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to
initialize the NVdriver kernel module. Has anyone come across this behaviour
before? I've edited my XFree86 config file to remove the GLcore and dri
modules, added glx and replaced the nv driver with the nvidia driver. I've
also checked /dev for the appropriate nvidia device files and made sure that
they have the right permissions. I'm fairly certain that the nvidia packages
have been built against the appropriate kernel headers. I'm not sure what
else to try? Any thoughts on getting this to work? Btw, I'm running
Debian and my video card is an Aladdin TNT2.

Cheers,
Maria
