[oclug]SCSI BUS

I am working with a Redhat 7.3 box that seems to be
having some problems with the SCSI.

When I lauch the CD writer I get the following error

Failed to scan teh SCSI - Bus either no permission to
access the generic scsi devices or no SCSI support
enabled in the Kernel For ATAPI devices you have to
install teh SCSI emulation first

Where do I go to configure a SCSI card? 

Is it me or does Redhat 7.3 not seem to be working
well with printers. Every box I have installed it on
acts up.
