I have an old HP5500CT Laptop, try as I may, RH7.1 would never configure
the PCMCIA card correctly, even if detected, for network access. Since
it's a non CD-Rom bootable PC, I needed to create the special PCMCIA
boot diskette for installation. I switched to LM8.2, network card was
detected without a flaw, configured and now I have internet access.
Also, only the regular boot diskette was needed, maybe not a big deal
but with RH I needed to figure that one out after wasting an hour.

Another interesting piece is speed, not much gained on a PI-133 with 48
Meg of memory but not painfull to use at all. I also run LM8.1 on my
desktop and that's fast also. LM8.2 was installed on a friend Dell
laptop 1.4 Ghz with DVD, no problem in detection, installation and
running like a charm (I'm jealous).

Enjoy
