[oclug] Update - Samba over Internet

   An update on my progress. I am now talking to my Samba server over a 
Rogers cable link with near FTP like speed. I wish I could say I came up 
with an ingenious set of tweaks , but alas no. All I did was map the 
Samba directory share to a windows drive, and voila. (I should have 
exepected the problem would be client side<g>). Previously I had been 
accessing the Samba server via the network neighbourhood. Why this 
should matter I don't know(and probably don't care to). Thanks again for 
all the tips/help.
