I was on the horns of the same decision (MDK vs. KRUD actually), and
finally chose MDK for the reasons Stephen Robinson mentions, and for
DiskDrake (a partitioning tool), which has always been very nice to me.
I also like MandrakeSoft's committment to opening, GPLing in fact, their
tools, such as the above.
