[oclug] Mandrake 8.2 FYI

I've used Slack, Debian, Storm, and Redhat. I've been using Mandrake 
since about 7.0. I've found it better for various almost trivial 
reasons. I guess when you look at it it really depends on taste. Gnome 
vs. KDE, Debs vers RPMs etc. Maybe it's the logo... But I digress....

The *drake tools are well written and harddrake/kudzu does an awesome 
job at detecting and configuring new hardware.

Recommended for new users above all else, it is also great for people 
who like to have control of their system while still wanting the system 
to have some autnomity with devices. Not to mention the great programs 
that come with it (more games than one can shake a stick at, and more 
"versions" of gcc than one can possibly want use.)

I personally think its the logo that made me try it and keep using it. 
:) That and it was the only one that had xmame at the time :)
