Actually -- that's generally not true.
Bandwidth is cheap in Canada.
Many US based DSL providers charge about USD$60-80 for a 128kbit connection.
Support with any of the big companies is not usually much better.
Of course, there are a few great deals here and there (we have that
too with some local providers), but overall I think we're much better 
off. The grass is always greener...
