[oclug] Communication center box.

What I have:
	I have a PII 233, 64 Mb RAM, with Mandrake Linux 8.1
(Kernel 2.4.8).

What I want:
	I have heard of MS boxes being used as answering machines.
Anyone do this with linux?  If so, how?
	I have not bought a modem yet.  I want to get a 56K modem.
Will I need a certain kind?
	What software are you using?
	Any help would be appreciated,
