    No, I'm not kidding. Try to build glibc on HP-UX. It's required for many
of those libraries. 
    I've managed to get gdk and gtk built, and gdk's data-structures are
certainly a help. I'm just surprised that there's no standard repository for
the C community. There are a bunch of libs, mostly born on Linux, sure. But,
go to comp.lang.c and ask about a central repository to upload a module to
that you'd like to share.
