Me too. I was not necessarily advocating Tcl for application servers,
although it probably could be used for that (and is, AFAIK, in AOL's
Tcl-based aolserver -- http://www.aolserver.com/)
However, I'd like to pause this flame war to start another:

The "Web services market" is vapour. I read breathless reports in InfoWorld
about how Web services are the next big thing. I don't buy it; Web-based
interfaces are disgustingly primitive compared to real GUI's, and the
response time is frustratingly slow. I just do not see Web services
taking off.
In a year's time, I may be eating crow, but for now, that's what I think.
