[oclug] console resolution

You have to have support for it compiled in the kernel.  Look under
"console drivers" and turn on "video mode selection support".

A line like :

vga = 10

In lilo.conf will set your video card to VGA mode 10 upon boot (different
cards have different modes at different numbers).  Use 

vga = ask

to get a prompt at boot time.
