Hi Brian and thanks for the info. 

My post's message body does show up on the list for me and at least for
another member. 
Nevertheless, I have been having problems with Rogers vis-a-vis my
university computing account ftp-ing and telnet-ing, as have others too, it
seems. 
Ostensibly, it has something to do with the SFU site's added security
features with respect to something about Roger's DNS and IP tables.
