[oclug] Linux Laptop

Like Dan, I also have a Dell Inspiron 8200 and am quite content with it. 
It is encouraging to see that he has installed Linux on it and seems
satisfied with the results, since that is the likely route I'll take...
assuming I don't decide to try HURD instead. :-)

My first choice was the Winbook J4, but they didn't ship to Canada, and the
IBMs, while very nice, were simply out of my price range for the features I
wanted. 
Personally, though, if I had had the cash then, I'd have picked up one of
the more rugged and feature-packed of the Toshiba Toughbook Line-up.
