I got X working.
I can't compile KDE though. :-(
I tried 'emerge kde' but it got an ebuild error.
"!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete successfully.".
"!!! Function src_compile. Line -205, Exitcode 2".
"!!! No error message".
"!!! emerge aborting on /usr/portage/media-libs/imlib/imlib-1.9.14-r1.ebuild".
I have an AMD Athlon.
Any ideas of what to do next?

They should all do it the same way.
If there is a standard then I will bash any non-compliant distribution (eg. RH).
