Amen.  And if you thought it was bad when RedHat is considered the 
"standard" *Linux* distribution:  I recently heard someone refer to the 
/etc/rc.* scripts on OpenBSD as being "non-standard" ... when I asked 
what they meant, they said "It's not like RedHat".
