Garnome was mentioned in another thread; it is a distribution of Gnome2
by Gar (or is it GarChitecture?), another ports-like system that will be
distro-neutral.  Cf.: http://gar.lnx-bbc.org/wiki/GarChitecture .  It
works very nicely in Garnome.
