I think it is, but I'm biased. ;)
At the moment, Ximian does not have a "stable" version of 2.0 ready.
Sooo... if you want to give 2.0 a try you have a few other options.
Take a look at this page: http://www.gnome.org/start/2.0/. If you want
to use gnome 2.0 with a distro that doesn't have packages available I
would recommend "Garnome" which is a really nice set of scripts that
will download the packages and compile them for you. It's quite easy to
use, and you shouldn't have any problems.
