AMENDMENT
November Meeting
Ottawa Canada Linux Users Group

Our next meeting takes place at and on:
Algonquin College Rideau Campus, Room A130
Thursday, 2001 Nov 1, 19:00 hours

============================================
Agenda
1. Introductions and Announcements
       - BOSS Latest News
2. Bart Trojanowski - OCLUG Programming Wars
3. Hung Vu - Server Protection
4. Rasmus Lerdorf - PHP Server Side Scripting
============================================

Rasmus Lerdorf, the technical project lead for the PHP project has taken
time out of his very busy schedule to come talk to OCLUG about PHP. PHP
is a server-side, cross-platform, HTML embedded scripting language. The
most common use of PHP is Web-Database integration applications. As
always the Thursday meeting is free.

Rasmus will also be conducting a PHP tutorial from entry to expert level
with all proceeds going to OCLUG. The tutorial will be $199 and most
likely during the day on November 1st, although the evening before is
also possible and we would like to hear feedback on this as we wish to
ensure everyone is able to make it.

If you have an appropriate venue available to host 10-12 participants,
preferably with an LCD projector available please contact
ajh at steamballoon.com ASAP.

Also, if you're interested in the tutorial please contact
ajh at steamballoon.com to make arrangements to reserve the space. The
tutorial is an OCLUG fund raising effort.

CHALLENGE
We believe this will be an exciting action-packed meeting. We challenge
every member to bring one other new person to the November meeting.
Lets fill every seat this time!
