Hi:
When you install Debian, you can have the installation program to scan your
installation cdrom and package sources on the net. It makes a database of
packages. You can delete or add new sources later by editing
/etc/apt/sources.list file. You can search for available packages with
'apt-cache search' command without installing the packages.
