Paul Dowman and Quicktaxweb.ca technical staff:
I am very pleased to say I have used your Linux-served service with
my Linux-based computer, and all went well, including the Netfile upload. I
was pleased with the experience, especially the fine PDF download copy for
my records, and would use your service again. I will mention my success to
people I know.
There is at least one other web browser that has javascript,
cookies, and 128 bit encryption that you might want to consider allowing use
of next year: Opera. I did not try your Quicktime videos.
Technical feedback for the future:

To actually sign in, I had to do one more trick.

Going to that URL, I was told I didn't have 128 bit encryption
(which I do have). I had to do the browser check, and when it failed, I
re-wrote the URL to be:
https://www.quicktaxweb.ca/secure/browserhelp?b=true&c=true&a=false&q=false
...then I was able to proceed.

Also, some cookie annoyances. These cookies had no affect: I got warnings
about them not being present each time I reconnected...
www.quicktaxweb.ca FALSE /secure FALSE 1001822400 acrobatcheck no
www.quicktaxweb.ca FALSE /secure FALSE 1001822400 quicktimecheck no
But I did edit one of my cookies to:
www.quicktaxweb.ca FALSE /secure FALSE 1001822400 acrobat yes
...since I had no acrobat plugin for Netscape, but did want to *ensure* your
site would give me a PDF file I could download for my viewer. This also
meant that, subsequently, only the Quicktime warning came up each time I
reconnected.
