[oclug] maximum number of cd-roms?

A few years ago at DND, we had CDROM towers with a couple of SCSI cards
loaded with drives. The thing was meant to be driven via a boot floppy
which would put it on the net (Vines originally, then MS). We added a HD to
one (the momma board was a standard board, so we added a controller and a
hard disk), installed Linux and samba, and voila!
