I admit that I am not familiar with debian. I am aware of apt-get though, but my
understanding was that you can't get bleeding edge programs, which it seems are the
programs that people are suggesting. Can you get X 4.0.3? Or Kde 2.1? If you can,
then I will make the switch to Debian, but my understanding is that you can't get
these programs unless compiling from source or using cvs, which, for most users, is
far to much hassle to be bothered.
