Hi everyone:
I downloaded kernel-2.4.2 from redhat rawhide and installed it on my
redhat 7.0 system and everything went fine except for one problem - my
firewall script stopped working. I know that in kernel 2.4 iptables
replaces ipchains but I'm also aware that ipchains support could be
enabled. The error I get when I tried to run the script manually is
whole bunch of "ipchains - Protocol not available". But if I try to run
ipchains chains in command line, it seemded to work. Then I tried to run
an iptable-based firewall script and I get this:
iptables v1.1.1: can't initialize iptables table `filter' : iptables
who? (do you need to insmod?)
Do I have to load any module to run iptables in 2.4?
