Hey Gang,
I already had the tulip driver and the via-rhine driver*, in
/lib/modules/2.2.15-4mdk/net. But,
# insmod -v via-rhine.o
Using via-rhine.o
Symbol version prefix ''
via-rhine.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
#ifconfig
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:3924 Metric:1
RX packets:1403 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:1403 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
(no eth*)
# adsl-start
# adsl-status
Note: You have enabled demand-connection; adsl-status may be inaccurate.
adsl-status: Link is down (can't read pppoe PID file
/var/run/pppoe.conf-adsl.pid.pppoe)
*I've read advice from people who swear that each is the right driver for
the D-Link DFE-530TX
Please help me. Going insane.
