Let's see....<throwing my mind far back to my DSL system days>
I'm going to assume that you've already tried plugging the DSL modem into your
demarcation point with a quality phone wire (as short as possible) and unplugged
all other phone devices on that line and run for a while.
If so, it sounds like you may possibly have a buggy line card at the other end of
your DSL connection. Ask them to swap it out. You'll definitely have to get to at
least a 2nd level support person to get anywhere with this though. Another
possibility is that the local loop between you and the local CO is picking up noise
some where. This would force the DSL modem to "reconnect". You should see the
LEDs indicating this though, so I'm tending not to think this is the case here.
You might also phone and ask that a technician come and re-check the line quality.
What are your average download speeds right after a reconnect when everything is
behaving?
