Subject: [oclug] NVidia Drivers and X Windows

I was wondering if anybody out there has ever had this happen to them.

I run GL apps locally on RedHat 6.2 with XFree 4.0.1 using the drivers
supplied by NVidia. Everything runs fine apps are accelerated and no
problems.

Now here is the strange thing. When I try to run an OpenGL app accross
our network from and SGI machine things start to get screwy. The
window which shows the 3D accelerated image seems to take ownership of
the piece of the desktop where it was originally opened.

So have any of you ever run into this and if you have how did you fix
it?

If this helps I think the app that causes the problems uses GTK.

Any insight would be appreciated.

-Collin
