The entire history of this list has always been a nice mix of the
technical, philosophical, religious, current events and a whole hodge
podge of things, even a few flame wars from time to time.
There is always a few people who want this list to be purely
technical using the excuse that if they wanted to talk about things
other than Linux they'd join some other list. Well, they ignore the
fact that Linux, as a successor to Unix has always been about a
partiular philosphy which impacts all parts of our lives. We live and
breath the stuff, so we know it isn't only about technology.
Which of course neatly segues into why I am studying the morality of
all of this. I am always relevent, if not necessarily on topic.

GUIs, while nice, are nonessential.
