You can start with the emacs tutorial. Start up emacs and
type C-h t, that'll get you into the tutorial. It's a start.
Then you can read the emacs info pages. C-h i.
That'll keep you busy.
Just so you know, there are info pages for emacs lisp too.
They come in a separate package (emacs-lisp-intro or something).
I'm working on those in my copious spare time (not much sigh).
I also have the Learning GNU Emacs O'Reilly book, but it's a bit
dated (covers Emacs version 18). Maybe there's a newer edition
out there, covering a more recent emacs. It's an ok book, but
the info pages and tutorial are really quite good (once you get
used to them, and if you're going to use emacs you might as well
get used to them).
