    Emacs _is_ nice. I'd honestly use it, if it weren't for 3 things. 

    1. The syntax shading in many modes is broken.
    2. The perl modes are horribly broken.
    3. The navigational keys, especially the Meta- keys, cause quite the hand
strain. 

    I don't have these problems with Vim, but I also miss out on some
capabilities of Emacs. I can work around them though, so no problems.
