Answering my own question once again, regardless of the db being used for 
StarOffice the forms can be exported via the send as email function. This 
creates a .sgl file as an attachment. In a non networked environment but with 
an internet connection, just mail it to your self and save the attachement to 
file. Copy to floppy and you have a portable form. Install on any other box 
with internet connection, install file, edit file to point to correct IP for 
data base (in my case mysql) and you can share your forms to access the same 
db, all with the nice gui from Star if your into that kind of thing. 

In a networked environment this is a lot simpler of course, just mail the 
forms..:)
