Ordinarily I would agree 100%. In this case, it had to be done. I don't
actually feel bad about it. And as this lug wells knows, when I make a
faux pas on-line I do feel bad and I do make apologies. Not this time.
And I agree with the rest of you, this is incredibly silly, and
incredibly unbecoming of this lug. However, when I defend the rights of
somebody, irrespective of who that is (and as you all know I will defend
everybody's right to be heard weather I agree with them or not) I do not
expect, desire nor deserve a letter to my email box of the nature I got.
So, lets call it done (unless David wishes to pursue this further, which
is his prerogative) and move back to the real issues: Linux, open source
and FSS and the freedom to express ones view on them with out the fear
of ridicule if that view does not conform to another person's idea of
"proper expression". (sorry for the run on sentence :-))
