[oclug] New DHCPD Error (new to me at least)

Having used the dhcpd rpm exclusively until now with great success, I
decided to build ISC's dhcpd installation from source for the learning
experience it would bring. Everything was humming right along until I
attempted to start dhcpd when I received this message:

"No subnet declaration for eth0 (0.0.0.0). Please write a subnet declaration
for the network segment to which interface eth1 is attached."

My /etc/dhcpd.conf file reads:
subnet 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
  range 192.168.1.10 192.168.1.40;
[snip]

What gives? Whether this makes a difference or not, I have a diskette that
has my favourite configuration files for system builds, and copied
dhcpd.conf from it.

If you need any more details, please let me know.

Cheers,
BB
