Hi folks. I'm back on the list after a brief hiatus (been very busy).
I have a Brothe HL-760 that's 4 years old now and works quite well under
Linux. It uses PCL 5e, which is very well supported. The newer 1260
apparently has a PostScript option, and is highly recommended at
linuxprinting.org.
Two weeks ago I decided I wanted a color printer and bought an Epson
Stylus Color 980. Works reasonably well with the CUPS driver (excellent
print quality; a bit finnicky, though). Good SOHO unit.
