I don't think much will come of this one. I think that it's mostly to
bolster and counter whatever M$ has in the way of an appeal. However,
don't forget the Dubya is a Big Business Booster (read corporatist)
well in tune with the party line "what's good for Business is good
for America."


Considering also how international the software industry is, and
becoming more so, a weaker M$ is not seen as good for America. The US
is all for free trade, as long as it gets the best part of the deal.
If it doesn't throw on the protectionist armour. A truly global
software industry is definately not good for America.
