Hmm, I don't have the problem here with 2.  I run X on my home machine and
connect my laptop to it all the time, and it seems ok.  This is with a geforce,
and their newest drivers (didn't try it with their pre-xmas drivers...)

Its only 2 root windows too.. one on 7 and 8, so maybe the problems become
worse with >3 or 4 windows like you have?  Or maybe its the card in conjunction
with the drivers.. what do you have?
