KDE's clipboard does the same.  If you double-click or hilight a URL,
the clipboard automatically asks you if you want to open it in Konqueror
(my new browser of choice!) or Netscape.  You can also customize *any*
type of text to perform various actions using regular expressions.

Aside from the few annoyances, KDE is great.  I hadn't used it in quite
some time, but I've come home to roost.  ;-)
