[oclug] Speaking of Computer Languages...

Hi all,

I just ran into this little thing on slashdot and considering we had
a recent debate over beginners languages, here's something for the
more advanced.

It's a radical new approach to computer langauges called Eidola.
According to their own blurb, "Eidola is a
representation-independent, object-oriented, visual programming
language."

Recently, I mused about such a thing on this list, and lo-and-behold,
someone is doing it already. I've just found this out and will study
it further. From what I've seen so far, I'll need a refersher course
in set theory. There are mumblings about the cardinality of the set
of computer programmes that can be represented in this language is
still aleph-null (there are so many different kinds of infinities,
you know).

Anyway, I haven't had time to look at it seriously, but this looks
like fun... definitely not for the beginners.
