I don't get this. Is that like saying that it is Porsche's fault because you
don't know how to handle your new 911 Turbo because it has too much
horsepower?  I would say that C makes it too easy to make horrible mistakes.
And Java requires too much knowledge up front in order to make it do anything
useful for a beginner. Maybe we should recommend Pascal to a beginner.
