I see you've now been advised to upgrade your FTP daemon, change daemon,
fiddle with ipchains and ports... all valid suggestions, if
you are running an FTP daemon to serve a user community. If it's
for your own use, you'll be better off using scp.  (And if not, you're
still better off using scp.)
