I thought the above link might interest some of you. Sun has released Grid
for Linux.
"Sun[tm] Grid Engine finds a pool of idle resources and harnesses it
productively, so an organization gets as much as five to ten times the
usable power out of systems on the network. That can increase utilization
to as much as 98%." -- from artical
It basically makes a Linux cluster out of ide machines running the
software. (sort of).
Kind of like http://www.distributed.net/ , but with your own systems.
"Apparently it has been released under an "an industry-accepted open source
