Just do what I do. Lie.
"Yup, I'm in the control panel. Yes, that option is set." etc, etc, until
they finally admit it's their problem. ;-) Or, since I have a dual-boot, when
they tell me they don't support Linux, I just say "ok, wait a second. Nope,
doesn't work in windoze either, do I get support now?"
